December 2015 KUGB Black & Brown Belt course

Egham December 2015

 

After two fantstic training sessions, the final dan grading of the year took place in Egham.

 

Congratulations to David, who passed his shodan (1st dan) grading with Sensei Sherry and Sensei Brennan.

 

After returning to karate following a 25 year break, this is a huge achievement!

 

 

 

2015 Ditton SKC Championships

Congratulations to all who competed at the Ditton Championships.

 

Jack and Beth did amazingly in the children's kata novice to yellow belt. Beth got a silver medal and Jack won gold. So proud of you guys.

 

Sensei Chris got silver in adult senior grade kata and bronze in men's senior kumite.

2014 KUGB National Championships

Birmingham May 2014

 

Congratulations to all who competed at the Nationals. The finals kicked off with Sensei Bob Rhodes and Sensei Billy Higgins being awarded the grade of 8th dan. Well done Senseis!

 

Special congratulations go to Holly Sterling who won the ladies individual kata title for the 7th time in a row, also picking up the team kata title with the Sendai team. Hisham Saif added to his success in the World Championships by retaining his kata title.

 

Everyone had a great time and all enjoyed Sensei John Bruce's outstanding demonstration.

 

World Championships

Liverpool Sept2013

 

Congratulations to KUGB England on their success in the 2013 World Championships, especially Hisham Saif, who won gold in the male kata, and James McGorian, who won the male kumite.  Holly Sterling got a bronze in kumite as she was unable to continue due to injury.
